Many forms of health insurance plans exist ranging from very basic to very comprehensive. Great care should be taken when purchasing health insurance since plans can vary so extensively. It is also extremely important to insure with financially solid insurance companies. We offer excellent individual and group health insurance products, medicare supplement policies, and disability insurance.
Major Medical Policies are very common policy forms these days. In their essence, they provide comprehensive health care coverage subject to annual per person and per family deductibles combined with coinsurance provisions (generally 80/20) to some maximum out of pocket limit. It has become very popular to provide major medical policies with PPO (Preferred Provider Option) networks. Some of these policies provide doctor visit co-pays not subject to the annual deductibles, and some plans provide prescription drug coverage. Maternity coverages are not generally included but can be purchased for additional premium.
High deductible plans are also available. They combine comprehensive coverage subjected to a high annual deductible. Some of these plans can be purchased with or without coinsurance options. Their advantage is their lower cost provided in exchange for the higher deductible.
Medical Savings Account plans are available for the self-employed and the spouses of the self-employed and are an excellent insurance option. They combine comprehensive high deductible insurance with a tax favored "medical savings account" to fund expenses below the annual deductible. In addition to a "premium payment" for the high deductible insurance, the insured also makes a "contribution" to the medical savings account. Contributions start as low as $25 per month and are subject to a maximum contribution. Contribution amounts can be changed at any time and lump sum payments can be made. Contributions to these funds are tax deductible. When used for medical expenses, funds from the medical savings account become tax-free. This account can be used to fund approved medical expenses such as dental and vision care. In short, this plan is an excellent vehicle for combining low cost insurance with tax favored savings for medical expenses.
We offer many of the current federal medicare supplement plans.
We offer group health insurance including high deductible options and medical savings account options.
